Signs of Santa Gift Card Holder/Money Holder

I needed some gift card holders and some money holders for my family because I give all the adults cash so they can get just what they want.  As soon as I saw the Santa's Signs stamp set and the matching Designer Series Paper, I knew they would be perfect for gift card holders.

To make the money holder:

Cardstock:

  • Whisper White Thick, 6-1/4" x 9-3/8", scored at 3-1/2" and 7"
  • Poppy Parade, 6" x 3-1/4"
  • Whisper White scraps for the sentiment
  • Poppy Parade Scrap for the scalloped oval

I stamped the sentiment on the front in Poppy Parade and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Dies (Oval) and backed it with the poppy parade scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Dies.  I cut a slice off the top of the inside piece to create a pocket and then used Tear & Tape to hold the long side together.   I stamped the inside sentiment from Signs of Santa and the "Happiest Christmas Wishes" comes from the Dashing Deer stamp set.

And the Gift Card Holder:

Cardstock:

  • Poppy Parade, 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2 and 9
  • Whisper White, 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Scraps of Whisper White for the sentiments
  • Scrap of Poppy Parade for the scalloped circle

For the front, I first cut the Designer Series paper 3-1/4" x 4" and adhered to the front piece. I stamped the sentiment in Poppy Parade on whisper white and punched out with the 1-1/2" Circle Punch.  I backed that with the Poppy Parade Scalloped Circle and put on the card with dimensionals.

For the inside,  I cut a piece of the DSP to fit the pocket front (4" x 2-1/4") and adhered it.  Using the 1" circle punch, punch out half of a circle to make it easier to get the gift card out. I used Tear & Tape on each side to create the pocket.  The sentiment for this part of the card comes from the retired BYOP set--this set is ideal for gift cards and was designed for that purpose.  I stamped them on whisper white and die cut them with the new Rectangle Stitched Dies (#148551) from the Occasions catalog.  The "Ho Ho Ho" comes from the Labels to Love Stamp Set and was stamped on the far right side of the inside.  I left plenty of space to write a note and it will be hidden from view when the card is closed.

These money/gift card holders are really easy to make and you can use whatever pretty paper or stamp set you have for whatever occasion!

Craft & Carry Bag for the Stamparatus

Now available for purchase is this cute Craft & Carry Bag for your Stamparatus.

The Stamparatus is really the best stamping tool out there!  I know because I have several of the others (purchased before Stampin' Up! brought out the Stamparatus) and they simply don't compare.  Being able to use both sides of the stamping plates and being able to move them to different settings to stamp makes this tool really versatile.  I really love how I can set mine up with several stamps and not have to change them when I am making multiples of a card.  And if I don't ink up my stamp enough and don't get a clear image, I can ink it up again and stamp over and over until I am satisfied with my image.  No more halo images!

Don't have a Stamparatus yet?  Now's a great time to ask Santa for one!  You can get one bundled with the bag.  And don't forget to add the accessories!
