Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Melon Mambo Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" of white zigzag lines on black background design from Zoo Crew 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3-1/2" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 1" square of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
Insert the 4" x 5-1/4" white rectangle into the floral embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders set. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed white rectangle to the front of the Melon Mambo card.
Adhere the piece of Zoo Crew Designer Paper to the front of the card so it is in the center.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the Granny Apple Green strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notch) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Mount the "something great to celebrate - you!" sentiment from the Zany Zoo Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched green strip as close to the notch as possible with the notch on the right side.
Adhere the stamped and punched sentiment strip to the front of the card as shown so it is about 1/4" from the bottom of the designer paper rectangle and is centered side to side.
Mount the raccoon holding balloons image from the Zany Zoo Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white rectangle.
Pick out the matching raccoon holding balloons die from the Zany Zoo Dies. Put it on top of the stamped raccoon image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Place the raccoon cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends to color in one of the balloons.
Use the Light and Dark Melon Mambo Stampin' Blends to color in another one of the balloons.
Use the Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to color in the remaining two balloons.
Use the Dark Basic Black Stampin' Blends to color in the raccoon's mask, paws, and tail stripes.
Use the Light Basic Black and Light and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the raccoon.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends to lighten the color on the raccoon's belly and to remove any unwanted color.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored raccoon holding balloons cut out to the front of the card as shown so his feet overlap the top of the stamped sentiment strip just to the left of the sentiment.
Pick out the large, single flower die from the Zany Zoo Dies. Put it on top of the small Flirty Flamingo square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the flower cut out to the front of the card so it is in the upper right corner of the designer paper rectangle as shown.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at an angle as shown so it is centered over the left side of the sentiment strip.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a medium Melon Mambo dot from the sheet of Glossy Dots Assortment making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower cut out.
