Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesives Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Copper Clay Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/4" of copper brushstrokes design from Fresh As A Daisy 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Copper Clay Cardstock
- 7/8" x 3-3/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" from Copper Clay Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Seasonal Branches Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the small single leaf image from the Seasonal Branches Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it down the left and right sides of the vertical 4" x 5-1/4" Crushed Curry rectangle multiple times. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp every so often. Let some of the images overlap and let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock.
Insert the stamped Crushed Curry rectangle into the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Make sure you can see the stamped leaves and the line and logo printed on the front flap of the folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Seasonal Branches Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the bottom right corner of the vertical Fresh As A Daisy Designer Paper strip.
Adhere the stamped designer paper strip to the center of the Cajun Craze strip. The top and bottom edges will be even.
Adhere the layered designer paper strip to the center of the stamped and dry embossed Crushed Curry layer. The top and bottom edges will be even. Make sure all words are right side up.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the long, skinny Copper Clay rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the longer, detailed, solid branch die from the Seasonal Branches Dies. Put it on top of the Copper Clay rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the brown (Copper Clay) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the detailed branch cut out. Adhere it to the layered Crushed Curry/designer paper rectangle so the end of the branch just goes off the left edge about 1-1/2" from the bottom and the tips of the branch just touch the right edge of the designer paper layer and the whole branch is pointing to the right and slightly up. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off any excess branch on the left edge as needed.
Adhere the dry embossed Crushed Curry layer with designer paper and branch attached to the front of the Copper Clay card.
Mount the large group of leaves image from the Seasonal Branches Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Crushed Curry rectangle
Pick out the matching, open group of leaves die from the Seasonal Branches Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the leaves cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ends of all the branch tips as shown.
Mount the bird image from the Seasonal Branches Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Copper Clay rectangle.
Pick out the matching, open bird die from the Seasonal Branches Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the bird cut out to the front of the card as shown so he appears to be sitting on the branch and overlaps the left edge of the matted designer paper strip a bit.
Cut a 2-1/2" piece of the Copper Clay jute trim from the 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim.
Tie a half knot in the center of the jute trim. Trim and fray the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the jute trim knot to the front of the card as shown at a slight angle over the end of the branch.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 birds from the sheet of Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown at the top of the designer paper strip in a rough triangle.
