P retty card using Stampin' Up! products where the sentiment can easily be changed for the type of card you need.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4-3/8" x 5" from Shaded Spruce Cardstock
- 3" x 4-1/2" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 1" x 4" from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
Unlock the 2-1/4” Circle Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide one short side of the Shaded Spruce rectangle into the punch and punch a circle in the upper left corner. Leave at least ½” between the edges of the circle and the top and left edges of the cardstock.
Insert the punched Shaded Spruce rectangle into the Quilt Top Embossing Folder so the logos on the front flap of the folder are upside down. Place the folder with the card stock inside on a Cutting Pad on the Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the leaf sprig die from the Petals & More Dies. Place the Granny Apple Green rectangle on the Precision Base Plate on the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the leaf sprig die on top so you cut out most of the leaves and stems. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick tool to remove the pieces.
Adhere the leaf sprig cut out to the back of the dry embossed Shaded Spruce layer so the leaves are poking out through the circle on the front side. Use Tear & Tape Adhesive on the bottom of the sprig cut out to hold it in place.
Adhere the Shaded Spruce layer with the sprig attached to the front of the Soft Sea Foam card so an equal amount of Soft Sea Foam shows on the top and bottom of the Shaded Spruce layer. Trim off excess cardstock on the sides using Paper Snips if needed.
Mount the bird image from the Petal Palette Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Daffodil Delight rectangle.
Pick out the bird die from the Petals & More Dies. Place the stamped bird image on a Cutting Pad on the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the bird die on top so it is centered over the bird image. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot
Mount the single-line sentiment of choice from the Petal Palette Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Soft Sea Foam strip.
Pick out the long, skinny, open die from the Petals & More Dies. Place the stamped sentiment on a Cutting Pad on the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the long, skinny die on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot
Adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it is centered at the bottom of the circle.
Adhere the bird cut out to the card front so the tail overlaps the left side of the sentiment cut out and the feet are tucked under the sentiment cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up 3 small rhinestone jewels from a sheet of Basic Rhinestone Jewels being sure to get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere one to the bird’s eye and the other 2 to the ends of the sentiment cut out.
