Q uick and easy birthday card using Stampin' Up! products. The sentiment can easily be changed if you need a different type of card.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Mossy Meadow Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of pink and green stripes on white background design from Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are horizontal on the vertical paper
- 1-3/4" x 4" of white leaves on green background design from Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
Adhere the large, striped piece of Magnolia Lane Designer Paper to the front of the Mossy Meadow card.
Adhere the smaller, leaf pattern piece of Magnolia Lane Designer Paper to the front of the card so it is about 1-1/4" from the top of the larger piece of designer paper.
Cut a 12" piece of the 3/8" Linen Ribbon from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack.
Fold the ribbon into thirds. Lay the folded ribbon across the right side of the leaf design paper on the card front. Use a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the center of the ribbon folds to hold it in place. Leave the protective backing in place. Trim the loose ends of the ribbon into sharp angles.
As you are ready to stamp using the Magnolia Blooms Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "thank you" or "happy birthday" sentiment from the Magnolia Blooms Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2" x 3-1/2" strip of white cardstock on one end.
Unlock the Everyday Label Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide in the stamped sentiment, get it centered in the punching area, and punch.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it hides the Tear & Tape holding the ribbon in place and is slightly to the right of center.
Pick out a triple silver leaves trinket from the Leaves Trinkets. Adhere it to the card front using a Mini Glue Dot so the stem of the trinket is tucked under the lower right side of the sentiment punch out.
Cut an 8" piece of the Mossy Meadow Linen Thread from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a small bow in the center of the linen thread and trim the ends. Use a Mini Glue Dot (squish it down with your fingers) to adhere the bow to the card front so it is centered over the stem of the leaves trinket.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up 2 silver elements from a sheet of Designer Elements being sure to get adhesives as well. Adhere one to the top of the sentiment punch out on the right side and the other in the lower left corner of the card front.
