Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Boho Blue Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Misty Moonlight Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1-1/2" x 3-3/4" of different flowers and stems and white birds on light blue background design from Countryside Inn 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the birds are vertical on the vertical rectangles
- 1-1/2" x 3-3/4" of different flowers and stems and blue foxes on dark blue background design from Countryside Inn 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the foxes are vertical on the vertical rectangles
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Boho Blue Cardstock
Adhere the two Countryside Inn Designer Paper strips with the birds on them to the left and right sides of the horizontal Misty Moonlight rectangle so about 1/8" of blue cardstock shows on the top and bottom edges of each and on the left side of the left rectangle and the right side of the right rectangle.
Adhere the Countryside Inn Designer Paper strip with the foxes to the center of the Misty Moonlight rectangle so it is about 1/8" from the top and bottom edges and 1/8" from the left side of the bird strip on the right.
Note: This means the space between the left side of the fox strip and the right side of the bird strip on the left will be slightly larger. That's okay. You'll cover some of the excess space with the ribbon in the next step.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of the Misty Moonlight 3/8" Inner Braided Ribbon. Lay the ribbon across the matted cardstock/designer paper rectangle so it covers the right seam between the bird strip on the left side and the cardstock. The space between the right edge of the ribbon and the left edge of the center designer paper strip should be about 1/8". Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Misty Moonlight rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Boho Blue card.
Pick out the rectangular postage stamp die that cuts out a rectangle that is 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" from the Perennial Postage Dies. Put it on top of the horizontal white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it will cut off the bottom, left, and right edges of the cardstock rectangle. Run through the machine. Leave the die out.
Put the rectangular postage stamp die back on top of the cut white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it will cut off the top edge of the cardstock rectangle leaving a postage stamp rectangle cut out that is just under 1/12" wide. Line the edges of the die up with the already cut edges of the cardstock so you cut out 3 full bumps on each side and a partial bump on the top and bottom on each side. Run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Lasting Joy Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Hoping for better days ahead" sentiment from the Lasting Joy Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the cut down postage stamp rectangle.
Adhere the sentiment stamped postage stamp rectangle to the front of the card as shown so it is about 1-1/4" from the left edge and about 1" from the top edge.
Mount the large flower image from the Lasting Joy Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Boho Blue square.
Mount the single, tiny, filled-in flower image from the Lasting Joy Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the center of the previously stamped flower.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the large flower image by hand.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flower cut out to the lower right side of the sentiment postage stamp rectangle cut out as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to peel up one large Blueberry Bushel gem from the sheet of Tinsel Gems Four-Pack making sure you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower on the card front as shown.
Cut a 10" piece of the Misty Moonlight 3/8" Inner Braided Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the front of the card as shown at a slight angle so it is centered over the ribbon already on the card front on the lower left side of the sentiment rectangle cut out.
