Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Poppy Parade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Shaded Spruce Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of strawberries design from Sunny Days 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the strawberries are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 3-1/8" square from Shaded Spruce Cardstock
- 3" square from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 3" square from scrap cardstock
- 2-3/4" square from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Poppy Parade Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" from Shaded Spruce Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the piece of strawberries Sunny Days Designer Paper to the center of the large Shaded Spruce rectangle and then to the front of the Poppy Parade card.
Pick out the heart with a tab die from the Hooray For Surprises Dies. Put it on top of the scrap cardstock 3" square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered side to side. Run through the machine. Leave the die out.
Note: This die does NOT completely cut out the strip. Instead, it perforates the strip so it can be easily torn free later by the person who receives the card.
Carefully tear the perforated heart out of the scrap cardstock square.
Put the piece of scrap cardstock with the heart torn out on top of the 3" Petal Pink square on top of a platform on your Stampin' Emboss Machine so the sides of both pieces of the cardstock are even. Put the heart with a tab die on top of the scrap cardstock square so it is centered in the cut out area. Run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Hooray For Surprises Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the tiny "pull" sentiment from the Hooray For Surprises Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it vertically just below and beside the tab of the perforated heart Petal Pink square as shown.
Put the piece of scrap cardstock with the heart torn out of it on top of the 2-3/4" Petal Pink square so it is centered over the square.
Mount the "make a wish," "you're the best," or "sending you lots of love" sentiment from the Hooray For Surprises Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it on the Petal Pink 2-3/4" square through the hole cut in the scrap cardstock so it is centered inside the hole.
Adhere the stamped 2-3/4" Petal Pink square to the center of the 3-1/8" Shaded Spruce square.
Add Stampin' Seal to the back of the 3" Petal Pink heart perforated square well away from the perforated heart. Adhere the square to the center of the layered Shaded Spruce/sentiment stamped Petal Pink square making sure that the sentiment will be revealed when the perforated heart on the large Petal Pink square is torn off.
Important: Make sure NOT to put adhesive on the back of the perforated heart or you won't be able to pull it off.
Adhere the layered square to the front of the card so it is about 5/8" from the top, left, and right edges as shown.
Pick out the large, open heart without a tab die and the slightly smaller heart with lots of little holes in it die from the Hooray For Surprises Dies. Put them on top of the Poppy Parade square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they are centered around each other. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Pick out the large, open flower die from the Hooray For Surprises Dies. Put it on top of the 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" Shaded Spruce rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you will cut out about a half flower. Run through the machine.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut down the half flower cut out so it looks like a strawberry leaves top with a little stem.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the bottom of the points of the cut down strawberry leaves top ONLY to adhere it to the top of the dotted heart cut out. Make sure NO adhesive goes over the top of the heart!
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the back of the layered together strawberry cut out ONLY on the back of the heart portion to adhere it to the center of the perforated heart cut out on the card front. Make sure NO adhesive goes over the edges of the perforated heart!
Pick out the large, solid flower die and the small, open flower die from the Hooray For Surprises Dies. Put them on top of the white strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine leaving room to cut out a second small flower. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the small, open flower die again to cut out a second small flower. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the large flower cut out to the lower left corner of the matted strawberry image on the card front as shown.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the two small flower cut outs to the front of the card as shown. Make sure NO adhesive goes over the top of the strawberry leaves at the top of the perforated strawberry.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large and 2 small Calypso Coral gems from the sheet of Opaque Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the centers of the flowers on the card front as shown.
