Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Wild Wheat Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-3/4" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 1-1/4" from Wild Wheat Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Wild Wheat Cardstock
- 7/8" x 1-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" x 2-1/2" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 7/8" x 2-3/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" x 4" from Old Olive Cardstock
Mount the Rays Of Light stamp on Block F. Leave the stamp rubber side up on your work surface and press the open Daffodil Delight Ink Pad all over it. If you get some ink in the open circle, don't worry, it will be covered in a later step.
Leave the stamp inky rubber side up on your work surface. Carefully place the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle on top of the inky stamp so the circle will be in the lower left corner of the cardstock. Place a piece of Grid Paper on top of the cardstock/inky rubber and rub firmly all over. Remove the Grid Paper and the inked up cardstock rectangle.
Mount the set of three little bees image from the Fluffiest Friends Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Wild Wheat Ink Pad. Stamp it three times in the upper right corner of the vertical, stamped rays rectangle so they are about 1" from the top and about 1/2" from the right edge. Change the orientation of the stamp a bit each time. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Peel the protective backing off of the 7/8" x 2-3/8" Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Crumb Cake rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the branch die from the Fluffiest Friends Dies. Put it on top of the Crumb Cake rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Crumb Cake (brown) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the branch cut out. Adhere it to the upper right side of the stamped white rectangle so the top of the branch is about 1/2" from the top of the rectangle and the left most tip is about 2" from the right side. Use Paper Snips Scissors to trim off any excess branch as needed.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle with the branch attached to the center of the large Wild Wheat rectangle and then to the front of the Daffodil Delight card.
Pick out the bee hive die from the Fluffiest Friends Dies. Put it on top of the 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" Wild Wheat rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the bee hive cut out to the front of the card as shown so it appears to be hanging down from the branch. It's okay if it covers some of the stamped bees.
Mount the bear with honey pot image from the Fluffiest Friends Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the matching bear with honey pot die from the Fluffiest Friends Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Place the bear with honey pot cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the honey.
Use the Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend to color in the honey pot.
Use the Deep Natural Tones (SU200) Stampin' Blends to color in the bear's nose and paw pads.
Use the Medium Deep Natural Tones (SU300) Stampin' Blends to highlight the fur marks on the stamped bear and add shadows.
Use the Medium Deep Natural Tones (SU400) Stampin' Blends to start coloring towards the center of the bear.
Use the Medium Light Natural Tones (SU800 and SU700) Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the bear and blend the colors together.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends to remove any excess color.
Adhere the colored bear cut out to the front of the card so it covers the circle in the rays in the lower left corner. Be sure to leave room to the right of the bear to add the greeting cut out.
Pick out the one of the grass strip dies, one of the sets of two and three leaf groups dies, and one of the two sets of two leaf groups dies from the Fluffiest Friends Dies. Put them on top of the Old Olive rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the grass cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bear cut out on the lower left side as shown.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the leaf group cut outs to the tips of the branch cut out as shown.
Peel the protective backing off of the 7/8" x 1-7/8" Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the 1" x 2" Wild Wheat rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the word "hello" die from the Rustic Crate Dies. Put it on top of the Wild Wheat rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Wild Wheat (brown) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the "hello" cut out. Adhere it to the bottom right side of the card front as shown so it slightly overlaps the bear's foot and is in line with the bottom of the bear.
