Year of Cheer/Swirly Snowflake Swap Card

Yearofcheerswap

This is a card I made for a swap

This card starts with a base of Whisper White Thick cardstock.

The first thing I did was adhere a piece of Whisper White Thick cardstock cut to 3-7/8 x 5-1/4 to the new Multipurpose Adhesive sheets. I then took the snowflake die (triple die) from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies and placed it along the long edge of the adhesive-backed sheet and die cut with the Big Shot using the Precision Plate. Using my Big Shot Die Brush I easily removed the snowflakes from the die.

Carefully remove the backing and turn upside down to save it. You'll be adding things to the back.

Next I took my Gold Foil paper and cut a piece 2" x 5.25" and then another piece 5.25" x 3/8".

Using my silicone mat (nothing sticks to this!),
I added the larger gold piece to the snowflake piece at the bottom under the snowflakes.
Next I added the small gold piece to the top of the snowflake paper piece by just attaching it to the adhesive.

I took a piece of the Year of Cheer Designer Paper cut to 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" and added it to the top of the white snowflake piece just below the gold by using Fast Fuse (my favorite way to adhere anything!)

I cut one of the Gold Foil Snowflakes in half and put a little glue from the Fine Tip Glue on places on the back and added it to the Snowflake piece just above the snowflakes.

I then took a piece of the Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon and added it over the seams of the snowflakes and attaced to the back.

Now, I added Fast Fuse on the places where there was no adhesive and attached to the front of the card base.

I took some scrap Whisper White cardstock (about 3" high) and ran my Embossing Buddy over it. I then stamped the sentiment from the Merry Little Labels set in Versamark ink and covered with Silver Embossing Powder. Make sure you don't have any little pieces of powder clinging where you don't want it by using a small paintbrush to remove. Heat emboss.

Punch out the sentiment using the Everyday Label Punch.

Adhere to the front of the card with dimensionals.

Don't neglect the inside of the card. I took the snowflake stamp from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set (available in a bundle with the Swirly Snowflakes dies) and stamped using Versamark (don't forget your embossing buddy!) into a corner of the inside, covered with silver embossing powder and heat embossed.

I haven't put a sentiment inside yet but I'll probably add one from the same Snowflake Sentiments set
