Party Panda Friend Card

I love the Olympics!  I've been watching the TV pretty non-stop!  As a result, I've been MIA from my craft room for a bit.  Needing to make a Valentine I put together one (I'll show it after it is given) and this Party Panda Friend card.  I've seen some really great cards using this stamp set!  You can only get this stamp set FREE if you make a $50+ purchase before March 31.

I had been experimenting with my Brother Scan N Cut in cutting out my pandas so I had several stamped and cut out.  I had also embossed that strip of cardstock too.  They went together very well!  Because this stamp has so much solid surface, it can be hard to get a good image.  I used my MISTI but cannot wait until my Stamparatus comes later this month!  It will make stamping so much easier!  If you don't have a stamping tool, you can add color to any of your images by pulling up color from your ink pad with your blender pen.  I've seen others fill it in with a Sharpie but I've found the blender pen works the best to look like it was stamped--the other markers look different.

All the details and printable instructions are here.

Still need the Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs?  Request one here and I'll be happy to mail them out to you!  Sale-a-Bration ends March 31 but the Occasions catalog is good until the end of May.

Lots of Lavender

Today I am starting a series of cards showcasing the Sale-a-Bration items you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase.  I had planned to start this at the first of the year, but you know, the best-laid plans...  I was sick, tired, lost my mojo, and just didn't feel like crafting.  I went two or more weeks without making a single card and that's just unheard of for me!  This past week I spent most of the week in Atlanta with my son and his family.  His 5-year-old daughter had shingles and had to stay home from school so I went over there to help out.  I rushed out the door and forgot the Paper Pumpkin kits I planned to take with me so I could craft with her!  She loves to craft and I really want to see if she's as interested in stamping as I am!  Once I got home, I was energized and started this series.

Here is the first card using two stamp sets available for Sale-a-Bration.

The main image is watercolored onto Shimmery White Cardstock using the Lots of Lavender stamp set and the sentiment is from Heartfelt Blooms.

Truly Tailored Swap Card

Do you have problems creating masculine cards?  Well, Stampin' Up! has the perfect suite of products for you in the new Occasions catalog!  It is the Truly Tailored Suite and I decided to use it to make some cards for an Occasions catalog swap.  This was really a quick and easy card to make and you can easily trade out the Designer Paper for whichever pleases you!

The Bow Tie is made using the Bow Builder Punch (don't you just love the versatility of our punches?).  And the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper even has paper with bow ties on it so you could use that or any of the other papers.  I love the plaids and stripes as well as all the papers!  And navy and green is always such a great combination for masculine cards.  The sentiments in the stamp set can be used for most any occasion--Father's Day, birthday, anniversary and even Valentine's with a different greeting on the inside!

Petal Palette Birthday Card

I made a card!  If you think that's nothing extraordinary, well, usually that would be the case.  BUT I have been feeling pretty wretched since the middle of November and just haven't felt like doing anything--simply lost my mojo!  But I am feeling better so I got my act together and made this card for an Occasions catalog swap.  This card uses the Petal Palette stamp set and matching dies as well as the Perennial Birthday stamp set.

And here is the inside

Having a deadline to get swaps done certainly helped me get myself in gear but just feeling better made this possible!

Just a reminder--if you place an order that is below $150, use the host code below and you'll be entered into this month's drawing for host prizes.

Birthday Delivery Birthday Card

My grandson turned 5 on New Year's Eve and he had requested a game called "Catch the Fox".  As a good Nana, I, of course, bought him that game.  Needing a card to go with his presents I thought the fox from the Birthday Delivery set would be perfect.  He also has a turtle so I needed to add that to the card.  The Birthday Memories Designer Paper and the Birthday Friends dies make making this card so easy!  All of the dies in the set cut out stamped images as well as images on the Designer Paper!

The turtle, bear, and squirrel had to be fussy cut but that's not too hard to do.  I neglected to photograph the inside of the card but it uses the "Happy Birthday" from the Birthday Delivery stamp set, a sentiment from Number of Years and a 5 cut out of glimmer paper using the Large Number dies.  All the details and instructions are available here
