Swap for On Stage Atlanta

On the 5th of November I am attending the On Stage Atlanta event (the "local" event in conjunction with the Stampin' Up! event in Australia). Swapping card fronts is a big part of these events and here is the card I created.

This card uses a card base of Whisper White Thick card stock. The next layers are Melon Mambo (5.25" x 3.5"), Whisper White (5" x 3.75"), Melon Mambo (4.25" x 1.75") and Whisper White (4" x 1.25")

First, I stamped the sentiment on the right hand side of the base. I used the Vertical Greetings stamp set and Melon Mambo ink.

Next I took the Whisper White piece that is 5" x 3.25" piece and embossed it using the Petal Burst embossing folder. I attached that to the larger Melon Mambo piece with Fast Fuse and wrapped a piece of Melon Mambo 1/8" Stitched Ribbon to the left side of those pieces.

I then turned to the major stamping of the Vertical Greeting stamp of the heart flowers. To make this, I used my Stampin' Write markers (Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay) and colored the stamp with each color, "huffed" on it to reactivate the ink and then stamped it on the small piece of Whisper White. It didn't stamp completely but that's okay with me--I liked the look it created. If you prefer it to be fully stamped, you might try this using the Stamp-a-ma-jig so that you can stamp over and over in the same spot. You can also stamp the heart flowers, cut them out using the Sweet & Sassy framelit dies and then pop it up on dimensionals to add more interest.

I then lighted covered the heart of flowers with Wink of Stella, just randomly touching the flowers

I layered the stamped layer atop the smaller Melon Mambo piece using snail adhesive. I then attached the two pieces to the embossed layer with dimensionals.
