Quick and Easy Watercolor Thanks

Watercolor thanks

This is a thank you card using a watercolor background technique.

I started with a piece of watercolor paper cut to 3.75 x 5. Using an aqua painter and ink from the tops of my ink pads, I did a wash across the page using Soft Sky, Flirty Flamingo and then Pear Pizzazz. You want to start out with just a small amount of ink (you can always add more but can't remove ink! Although you can try blotting up ink with a paper towel if you get it too dark). Let dry completely--it doesn't take long!

Using Basic Black archival ink, I stamped the flower . This ink takes a little longer to dry so be careful lifting your stamp--you don't want it to smear. I stamped the sentiment below the flower using the same ink.

I took some Pear Pizzazz ribbon (now retired) and wrapped around the front of the card. I then made a bow and attached to the ribbon using glue dots.

I layered this watercolor piece on a 5.25 x 4 piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock using Fast Fuse. I attached this to a Whisper White cardbase.

This is a quick and easy card that can be used for most any occasion.
