Birthday Fiesta

Birthday fiesta

One of the cards from my monthly stamp night

Dimensions:
Card base, whisper white thick 5.5 x 8.5, scored in the middle
Crushed Curry, 5 3/8 x 4-1/8
Crushed Curry, 3.25 x 2.25
Crushed Curry, 3.25 X 1.25
Tempting Turquoise, 5.25 x 4
Melon Mambo, 3-1/8 x 1-1/8
Whisper White, 1 x 4
DSP (Designer Paper) , 3-1/8 x 2-1/8

On a scrap piece of Whisper White, stamp the llama using Crumb Cake ink. Stamp the blanket with Melon Mambo. Using the Fiesta Time framelits, cut out the llama.

Using the Festive embossing folder, emboss the turquoise piece of cardstock. Attach to the largest Crushed Curry piece (use Fast Fuse for better adhesion).

On the 1" strip of Whisper White, use the embossing buddy to remove static and then stamp the sentiment from Birthday Fiesta using Versamark and then Melon Mambo ink. Cover with clear embossing powder (check for stray pieces--remove with a small paintbrush) and heat with your heat tool. Punch out both ends using the Banner Triple punch.
TIP: When you don't have embossing powder that matches the color ink you are using, stamp first in Versamark and then immediately in whatever color ink you want to use.

Layer the Melon Mambo piece on top of the smallest Crushed Curry piece and attach to the card front with Fast Fuse. Layer the Designer paper to the medium size Crushed Curry piece. Attach that piece over the end of the Melon Mambo piece using dimensionals where it is lifted off the embossed piece and adhesive over the melon mambo piece. Attach the Llama using dimensionals. Attach the fiesta banner with a combination of dimensionals and snail adhesive.

Stamp the inside as you wish. I used the birthday sentiment from the stamp set. And don't neglect your envelope!
